This petition was initiated in August 2000 to show support for John Stossel when environmental groups attacked his program on organic foods. However, since then, many fans continue to sign on to show support. Feel free to join in this petition to show your support!

We unite in support of
ABC journalist John Stossel, who has a unique ability to debunk
conventional wisdom and expose special interests, politicians, and
politically correct causes.
We believe in freedom
of expression. Freedom entails responsibilities, and the freedom
of expression means that people should be allowed to make mistakes
if they are held accountable. ABC
has taken the necessary steps to correct its errors. No further
action, especially the stifling of a respected and well-liked journalistic
voice, is called for because of a simple mistake. See

The Organic Trade Association
and the Environmental Working Group have a right to disagree with
Stossel, but Stossel has a right to publicly state his conclusions
about any topic.
